In order to offer viewers important updates during severe weather season Now TV requested the implementation of a ticker system that allowed them to display Typhoon Tracks, Precipitation Levels, Satellite and Radar Images as well as regional wind maps and weather cams of different areas of Hong Kong. The system was fully automated updating with real time breaking news from octopus by the journalists and weather data from HKO (Hong Kong Observatory)
